about

E3-20cropEric Case (MATS, Asbury Theological Seminary) is a pastor, teacher and musician based in Tallahassee, FL, where he lives with his wife and two children.

After growing up in Texas, Eric found his call into ministry at Willow Creek’s Axis ministry, which was just beginning when he and his wife Shana began attending. Eric served as the music director and worship leader during Axis’ explosive and formative years (1998-2001), and also led worship at many Willow Creek Association conferences.

Eric and fellow Axis staff member David Gwartney founded Christ’s Church of Wrigleyville (now “Missio Dei“) in Chicago’s “Southport Corridor” in 2001. During this same season, Eric was also the touring guitar player for worship leader Matt Redman, including opening for a leg of the 2002 Delirous? tour and Passion’s OneDay 03 festival.

After serving as worship leader for New Community Covenant Church in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood, Eric joined the staff of Element3 church (Tallahassee, FL) in 2006, where he currently serves as the Pastor of Musical Worship.

In 2007, Eric formed the iTunes featured band Maida Vale. During the short 3 years in which the band was active, it released 2 full-length albums, an EP and single, played shows around the south and midwest, and received critical high marks for its thoughtful songwriting and arrangements.

In addition to worship leading and teaching, Eric is still active in the music scene in Tallahassee, and is currently working on his first book.
